Shore C hardness ranges

Low density/high flexibility

Approximately 30 to 40 Shore C. Ideal for applications where greater cushioning and softness are desired, such as insoles or comfort zones in midsoles.

Medium density:

Approximately 40 to 60 Shore C. Used in intermediate parts or in applications where a balance between support and shock absorption is required, such as in the midsoles of athletic shoes.

High density/greater support:

Approximately 60 to 70 Shore C. Required in sole components or reinforcements that demand greater rigidity, durability, and wear resistance.
